socially integrated into the community. Involves the individual

Children's Mental Health Case Management

|
Management assists and supports children with severe emotional
disturbance and their families. Community support services are
coordinated and advocacy for needed mental health, educational,
legal and other social services is also provided.

In-Home Family Counseling
|
|
is a service designed to strengthen the family system. The
goal is to assist the family and children diagnosed with severe
emotional disturbances to reside together in a safe and nurturing
home setting. The services will emphasize family strengths and
provide information and support to both children and parents.
The family, with the assistance of the counselor, will set goals
to improve family and/or child functioning. The counselor will
utilize developmental asset materials as well as activities to
improve family communication and reduce family stress.

Family Community Support Services
|
|
are available to children and families of children diagnosed
with severe emotional disturbances. This service strives to help
children develop independent living skills and participate in
leisure and recreational activities. It can help parents develop
new and better parenting skills, explore financial resources,
and provide support to families of children with severe emotional
problems.

Local Coordinating Council
|
|
is a monthly group meeting involving families, youth, law
enforcement, school staff, corrections staff and human services
staff to assist families and youth in addressing concerns and
celebrate successes at school, in the community and at home.
|
|
Children's Day Treatment
|
|
is a structured program of therapeutic and rehabilitative
services delivered in a group setting within the school. Day
treatment services for children are an integrated set of
education, therapy, and family interventions.
