Faribault & Martin Counties Vaccination Update 2/16/21

Vaccination work as of 2/13/21:

• Faribault County: 1,673 individuals have received at least their first vaccination for COVID-19. 11% of the population has received at least 1 dose.
• Martin County: 2,461 individuals have received at least their first vaccination for COVID-19. 11% of the population has received at least 1 dose.
• Mayo Clinic Health System Fairmont received 204 1^st dose allocation last week and distributed all by Thursday to patients age 75+.
• United Hospital District received 300 1^st dose allocation last week and all were distributed to patients age 65+ by Friday.
• Community Health & Human Services received 200 1^st doses of Moderna vaccine on 2/9. All 200 doses were distributed individuals identified in priority group 1A within 72 hours as directed by MDH. All doses were in arms by Wednesday, 2/10 at 9PM. Population served included educators and childcare providers.
• Dulcimer Medical Center received no doses last week.

 Plan for week of 2/14/21:

• Community Health & Human Services is scheduled to receive 200 1^st dose allocation for this week. 100 is allocated specifically to E-12/childcare and the remaining 100 are allocated to completing any remaining health care providers/ first responders needing vaccine as part of Minnesota's 1A priority group and for 65+ population. Human Services will be reaching out to individuals who submitted interest on the COVID-19 vaccine survey who are over age 65 and in the order in which they were submitted. • Mayo Clinic Health System Fairmont is scheduled to receive 354 1st doses for next week for the 75+ population. MCHS-Fairmont will reach out to patients when it's time to schedule their appointment. Appointments fill up quickly as vaccine supply continues to be extremely limited.
• United Hospital District is scheduled to receive 100 1^st doses this coming week for the 75+ population. UHD will reach out to patients when it's time to schedule their appointment. Appointments fill up quickly as vaccine supply continues to be extremely limited.
• Dulcimer Medical Center is not scheduled to receive any new 1^st dose allocations this coming week.

All partnering entities listed above are part of the South-Central Minnesota Health Care Coalition. Beginning this week, allocations for non-affiliated medical clinics and pharmacies will be allocated vaccine by the state of Minnesota through this coalition. For the week of 2/14, the 11-county region received a total of 700 doses of vaccine for distribution to clinics and pharmacies. The state will continue to allocate vaccine directly to the large ten hospital systems who will allocate their allotments of vaccine within their systems. Larger pharmacies (Walmart, CVS, Thrifty White, Walgreens) will receive direct allocations from the federal government. Local Public Health agencies also receive a separate allotment from the State of Minnesota.
